Advice on what to bring for trekking, medication, vaccination etc
Advice on language learning, what to expect with food and living conditions.
In Nepal
Set agenda with school headmaster
Vet accommodation and food requirements with host families
On arrival
Meet at point of entry
Two days sightseeing in
Kathmandu.
Arrange Kathmandu accommodation on arrival and at
departure.
Oversee flight reconfirmation details etc
Accompany to
school
Regular once monthly visits to school. Reviews on behalf of volunteer and school
Offer trekking, either facilitating or guiding, with existing group or alone but at Ravi Tours price:
Prices
Host accommodation - $150 per month
Food will
consist of dal bhaat twice a day, as the local people would eat.
Toribari
"Old House" accommodation - $250 per month. At Toribari accommodation includes
own bathroom with hot shower, privacy in separate house and a greater variety of
food/snacks etc
We recommend 3 months minimum in Nepal i.e. 3-4 week's
sightseeing/trekking and 2 months teaching
Personal finance needed - about $75 per month but maybe more for souvenir buying and trekking or other activities
